Begin.. The Rest Is Easy...

..Is something I read from inside of a fortune cookie.. and it's what I tell myself whenever I'm burdened with apprehension, anxiety or stress about beginning a new project. This is one of those times.. mainly because I believe that if anything is worth doing, it's worth doing well.. Before I proceed to pollute these words with my usual overload of tired metaphors, scathing wit and gratuitous sarcasm.. I should introduce myself... Something I've not ever really done properly for the blogosphere, not even at my other blogs. The 'Reader's Digest version goes like this: Murat Altinbasak (no middle name), born 1971 in Flushing Hospital, Queens NY. Finished grade school with honors.. finished middle school and high school with an "A+" in mediocrity.. Quit college to learn a trade.. Now an overpaid project manager, charged with directing 100s of other tradesmen (and women) in the art of woodworking.. Bicycling nut case.. Riding and racing since I could walk.. Turkish blogger of renown.. (yes, only in my own mind) Coiner of the phrase 'Amerikan Turk'.. for what it's worth..

I consider myself a very loving/lovable sort and I genuinely enjoy casting the spotlight upon others.. which I hope to prove to you on a regular basis.. It won't always be pretty, or flattering, or even appreciated.. but my goal is to give proper exposure to as many successful and fledgling Turkish bloggers as I possibly can. If I do this well enough, with an element of entertainment which you won't find anywhere else, then my mission is accomplished. You will return and you will also send others. This is why I'm here. Wish me luck and watch this space.
